The Visit Harghita Team strengthens the County’s presence internationally
The Visit Harghita team is representing Harghita County at the 47th Travel Exhibition, which will take place from 20-23 February 2025, at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Center.
At this tourism event, the Szeklerland counties traditionally welcome visitors together. This year, the tourism associations of Covasna, Harghita, and Mureș counties will represent the region.
According to Barna-Botond Bíró, President of Harghita County Council, the recently awarded European Region of Gastronomy title is not only a recognition but also a responsibility that extends to the entire tourism sector and the quality of the county’s services.
“Harghita County attracts visitors not only with its natural beauty and cultural heritage but increasingly with its gastronomic experiences, which are becoming central to our tourism. The Travel Exhibition is a great opportunity to showcase all of this and further strengthen the county’s high-quality tourism services at an international level,”
explained the County Council President.
The team is also bringing a special attraction: the Mini Transylvania Park from Băile Seiche will be represented at the exhibition. This is Romania’s only multicultural, thematic miniature park, and two new models will be on display at the venue.
The Mini Transylvania Park features over 130 representative models of Transylvanian buildings, historical landmarks, and architectural monuments, many of which are part of the UNESCO World Heritage or national heritage. The recently opened Bug Park is also located at the same site.
Visitors are encouraged to attend the exhibition and explore Harghita County’s offerings, including information on local attractions, programs, accommodation options, group and family trips, Family Friendly certified locations, and everything related to tourism.
