The deliberative body of Harghita County Council consists of 30 councillors and the President of the County Council. From among its members, the County Council elects two Vice-Presidents by secret ballot.

The meetings of the deliberative body are convened and chaired by the President of the County Council. The body meets monthly, and these meetings are public. During the meetings, the topics included on the agenda are discussed.

In exercising its duties and powers, the County Council adopts decisions by the majority vote of the members present. In cases provided by law, a qualified majority is required for the adoption of the body’s decisions.

The deliberative body of Harghita County Council carries out its duties and powers in accordance with the relevant legal provisions and the Rules of Organization and Operation approved by County Council Decision no. 280/2024.
