Pope Francis's visit is an all-hungarians affair

On Wednesday, 6th of February in Csíksomlyó, more than 60 Szeklerland hosts participated in a spiritual day that was held by the diocesan liturgical officer of the visit, director of Csíksomlyó pilgrimage church, and Böjte Csaba Franciscan Monk, head of the St. Francis Foundation in Déva, in the dining room of St. Stephen's Home.

At this meeting attended Mr. Fekete Péter Secretary of State for Culture and Mr. Kelemen László director general of the House of Traditions, from Hungary. On behalf of the Harghita County Council, Mr. István Becze county counsellor and Mr. Sándor Molnár, coordinator of the Transylvanian Mary Road Association was present at the meeting.

Mr. Péter Fekete said, Pope Francis's visit in June will be an all-hungarians-affair. The Hungarian Government wishes to cooperate on this cultural matter with local cultural institutions. During the period between Pope Francis's visit and Pentecost, Szeklerland can reveal its cultural and natural values and traditions, and the Hungarian Government is helping to become a partner on this, said Mr. Péter Fekete.

After the meeting in Csíksomlyó, Mr. István Becze county councillor has invited Mr. Fekete Péter Secretary of State for Culture and Mr. Kelemen László director general of the House of Traditions to the Harghita County Coucil where further consultations were held together with the organising team of the Harghita County Days event and other county institution managers.

At the meeting Mr. László Kelemen was also ensured us by its long-standing support and cooperation, who focused on the promotion of traditional folk culture. The consultation was attended by Mr. Péterfi Attila-Csongor, economist from behalf of the Diocesan Coordinating Committee for the Pope Francis's visit.
